Shining in Indonesia: Vilion's Journey at the SolarTech Indonesia

From March 6th to 8th, 2024, the SolarTech Indonesia Exhibition 2024 was held at the Jakarta International Expo. As the largest and most influential solar and energy storage industry exhibition in the ASEAN region, the event attracted nearly 25,000 suppliers, investors, EPC companies, and industry professionals from around the world.

As Southeast Asia's largest economy and the world's fourth most populous country, Indonesia's electricity demand is projected to reach 1662TWh by 2060. To achieve its future "carbon neutrality" goals, various government departments in Indonesia are actively deploying initiatives to promote sustainable energy development and aim to increase the proportion of renewable energy to 23% by 2025, compared to 9% in 2020. According to forecasts by the NEZ team of Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, by 2060, 96% of Indonesia's electricity will be provided by renewable energy. Leveraging its abundant sunlight, solar power is expected to become Indonesia's largest source of electricity generation, accounting for approximately 160GW of installed capacity.

Indonesia, with over 17,500 islands, faces challenges in achieving stable electricity supply due to low grid coverage. As a result, there is significant market potential for islanded microgrid systems based on diversified energy sources. This further stimulates demand for energy storage facilities in the market.

At the SolarTech Indonesia Exhibition, Vilion showcased its "Ener" series of C&I battery energy storage products, attracting a steady stream of visitors from Southeast Asia. The booth saw a constant flow of friends seeking consultations and exchanges, where Vilion’s engineers patiently addressed various inquiries and provided detailed introductions to the products and energy storage applications. The professionalism of Vilion's Indonesia team and the innovation of its products consistently received praise from customers.

At the exhibition, Vilion officially signed a distribution and strategic cooperation agreement for energy storage systems with PT DAYA KONSTRUKSI PERKASA (PT. BNTECH ENERGI UTAMA) of Indonesia, marking the beginning of a deep collaboration between the two parties in the Southeast Asian renewable energy and power markets.

With the goal of becoming a leading provider of C&I energy storage solutions, Vilion is committed to offering safer, more reliable, efficient, affordable and cost-effective energy storage technology solutions for the global energy transition. The journey to the SolarTech Indonesia Exhibition is one of the key steps for Vilion to explore the energy storage market in Southeast Asia. In the future, Vilion will continue to focus on product innovation and customer service, ensuring that green energy benefits the world!
