Peak shaving and load shifting/System expansion

Peak shaving and load shifting

The peak shaving and load shifting is to regulate users' power consumption curves through charging and discharging processes of the battery energy storage to realize transferring power of low power price in valley period to high power price in peak period for utilization. Peak-valley price difference and lowered basic capacity fee can realize arbitrage and reduce configuration capacity and load loss of users' power distribution and voltage transformation from users' value perspective.

System expansion

Traditional grid planning or grid upgrades and expansions are costly. In transmission and distribution systems where the load is close to the capacity of the equipment, if the load supply can be met most of the time in a year, and only in some peak specific hours when its own capacity will be lower than the load, the energy storage system can be used to effectively increase the transmission and distribution capacity of the grid through a smaller installed capacity, thus deferring the cost of new transmission and distribution facilities and extending the service life of the original equipment.
