Deep Conversation, Win-Win Cooperation -- a Fortune 500 Japanese Company ITOCHU’s Vilion Trip


Following the successful cooperation on the 2.88MW/7.296MWh battery energy storage project delivered in Japan in 2022, ITOCHU Corporation has been steadily cooperating with Vilion in the field of renewable energy, especially in the application of battery energy storage technology. On July 6, 2023, the supervisor of the Sustainable Energy Business Department and the Manager of the Energy Storage Solution Business Section of ITOCHU Power & Environmental Solutions Division arrived at Vilion for a two-day visit and investigation.

ITOCHU Corporation, as a comprehensive trading company founded in 1858, has been entitled as the Global Top 500 corporations by the Fortune magazine for consecutive years, which has approximately 120 bases in 63 countries. ITOCHU’s Vilion trip, on the one hand, is to visit Vilion’s newly completed intelligent manufacturing plant and 500MWh pilot-scale production line at Vilion’s invitation; on the other hand, to learn the latest products and technologies, investigate the comprehensive strength of Vilion and advance the subsequent project cooperation. Moreover, the two sides further communicated and explored the innovations in the echelon use and recovery technology of power battery based on the consensus on carbon reduction and sustainable development.
